IPTV on Samsung Smart TV in the UAE: Setup with IBO Player or HotPlayer
To watch IPTV on a Samsung Smart TV in the UAE, you install a player app from the Samsung app store, open it to get the TV’s MAC address and device key, and link your playlist to it. IBO Player and HotPlayer are the two apps we suggest first, because both list Samsung TVs as supported. Most setups take ten minutes, and our support team can do the playlist step for you on WhatsApp.

What you need before you start
- A Samsung Smart TV connected to the internet and signed in to the app store.
- An active IPTV line. Either a paid plan or our 24-hour free trial (no card, one per household). We send your playlist link or login details on WhatsApp.

Which app to use on a Samsung TV
A player app is an empty screen. It has no channels until you add your playlist, and it does not come from us. We checked each developer’s own website this month and list only what they state.

The activation fee for any of these apps goes to the app developer, not to us. Prices change and are sometimes shown in more than one currency, so check the app’s own site before you pay. If an app is not in your TV’s store, try the next one on the list.
Step 1: Install the app from the Samsung store
- Press the Home button on the remote.
- Go to Apps and open the Samsung app store.
- Use the search icon and type IBO Player (or HotPlayer).
- Select the app and choose Install. When it finishes, choose Open.

These are the steps Samsung gives for installing any app. Menus can look slightly different on older models, but Home, then Apps, then search is the same path.
Step 2: Note the MAC address and device key
The first time the app opens, it shows a MAC address (six pairs of letters and numbers, like 00:1A:2B:3C:4D:5E) and a device key. These identify your TV to the app developer. Take a photo of the screen. Typing one wrong character is the most common reason a playlist does not appear.
Step 3: Add your playlist
You have two ways to do this.
- Let us do it. Send the photo of the MAC address and device key to our support team on WhatsApp. We add the playlist to your TV and tell you when it is done.
- Do it yourself. On a phone or laptop, open the app developer’s official website, find the playlist upload page, enter the MAC address and device key, and paste the playlist link we sent you.
Then close the app fully and open it again. Live TV, movies and series should load within a minute or two. HotPlayer lets you lock the MAC address in its settings once everything works, so the list cannot be changed by mistake.
Step 4: Get the best picture
- Use a cable if you can. A network cable from the router to the TV beats Wi-Fi, especially for 4K and football at peak time.
- On Wi-Fi, pick the 5 GHz network from your e& or du router, not 2.4 GHz.

- Keep the TV software and the app updated. Samsung notes that a software update can fix app problems.
If it does not work
